I grew up in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. I was able to start my career in health professions being the first graduating CNA class here at the Tech Center. After high school I went to the College of Southern Idaho and obtain my Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse. I started working for Minidoka Memorial Hospital, where I was fortunate enough to get lots of experience, for a small rural hospital, in different areas of nursing care. After I received my nursing degree, I decided that I also wanted my EMT certification. I obtained my Advanced EMT technical certificate from the College of Southern Idaho. I went back to school and received my Bachelors
degree from Boise State University. I decided to come to teaching because I know from experience how these programs at the Tech Center can help to start a career. I love being a nurse and an EMT and I want to be able to share my love for my career to future health care workers.
