I'm thrilled to be at Albion Elementary School. As the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teacher, I am always mindful of the fact that my students are each unique individuals. Children deserve to be treated with respect, understanding, and kindness. I work to enable my students to learn as much as they can to the best of their ability. I have always found teaching to be a challenging yet rewarding experience.
I am a local Albion resident, but I’ve traced a path around the country on my journey to this place. I grew up on a farm between Minidoka and Acequia. When I left home, I went to college first in Portland, Oregon and then in Seward, Nebraska. I completed my student teaching in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From there I spent one year working in Topeka, Kansas and two years in Sherburn, Minnesota. Then it was time to come home. I taught several years in Minidoka County during which time I complete the course work required to earn a Master’s Degree in Education. It was then that I married and made the move to Albion. I now claim this valley as my home, my community, and the kids in this school as my kids. I can’t imagine a more wholesome and scenic place to live and work.x
