Principal

Jennifer Woodbury has been working within Cassia County School District for the past 19 years. During that time, she has had the opportunity to fulfill many roles throughout the district. Jennifer’s first 12 years of her career as an educator began at Dworshak Elementary, where she spent time as an elementary PE teacher, the school librarian, and a 2nd grade teacher. Over the past 7 years, she has spent her time working as a Cassia County School District Coordinator, where she has overseen aspects of the district’s curriculum, assessment & data, and mentoring & instructional coaching programs, as well as public communications.

Having always possessed a natural love of learning, while working within her various roles throughout the school district, Jennifer continually pursued her own education, beginning with two associate degrees from the College of Southern Idaho; graduating first in 2005 majoring in pre-law, and again in 2010 majoring in elementary education. Moving forward, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in K-8 interdisciplinary studies from Western Governors University in 2012, becoming a certified K-8 educator. In most recent years, Jennifer pursued her educational endeavors further, attaining her master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Western Governors University in 2021, and her K-12 Principal Endorsement Certificate from Idaho State University in 2023.

When asked about her thoughts on taking on the role of principal at Albion Elementary and Raft River Elementary, Mrs. Woodbury stated that, “Being a part of education right here within our own community makes me smile; I enjoy it wholeheartedly. The ability to learn and grow continually throughout life is truly amazing, and I am looking forward to working closely with the many wonderful staff, students, parents, and community members at Albion Elementary and Raft River Elementary as we take grand steps together towards creating many positive educational experiences for all of our students. Schools have this wonderful opportunity to be bright spots within our community – places of learning and growth, of hope and opportunities for the future, and I know that through our combined efforts of cooperation, collaboration, curricular choices, best practices, and unified passion for education, we can serve our students well, helping them to flourish as they gain greater knowledge and understanding, build bolder confidence in their abilities, and unleash their true potential”.
