Dress Code

Workplace/career dress is highly encouraged. The dress code at Cassia High has been designed to help assist in the mentality of a career centered path and a respect driven environment. The dress code is not meant as a punishment but as a way of helping students take pride in their appearance both in their personal lives and their professional lives. The following is a set of rules for our school:

• No clothing with inappropriate language or inferences that promote illegal activities, drugs, or alcohol will be allowed in school. Chains or bandanas or other clothing and accessories, associated with gang affiliation or activity are not allowed.

• Students not in dress code will be required to wear loaner clothing provided by the school and leave the inappropriate clothing as collateral until the loaner clothing is returned.

SHIRTS

No tank tops, double tank tops, no spaghetti straps, or straps less than 2” thick, or cropped (half) tops are to be worn. Shirts/tops must have a modest neckline in the front and back (not low cut, not exposing cleavage or open backs) and be long enough to cover midriff. No undergarments exposed. No low-cut shirts or exposure of undergarments or skin between pant and shirt.

PANTS

● Acceptable are shorts skirts and slacks/jeans which must be modest. Modest is defined as not showing undergarments or skin from waist to knees. Modest length is defined as knee length.

● No rips, tears, or high levels of wear on the pants (no skin showing)

● Pants must be worn on waist – no underwear/shorts showing

● No Pajamas

SHOES

● No slippers or slipper like shoes

● Shoes or sandals must be worn at all times.

OTHER

● No symbols or colors identified as gang or drug-related is allowed on clothing or accessories.

● No hats, hairnets, bandanas, hoods or other head coverings are allowed in the building

● Tattoos displaying content or text that is offensive, gang-related or inappropriate must be covered while in school.

● Writing on skin or clothes with markers or ink is not allowed.

● No blankets are allowed due to health & safety concerns.

● Backpacks are allowed but are subject to search.

STUDENTS WITH VIOLATIONS MAY BE REMOVED FROM CLASS; TIME MISSED WILL BE AN ABSENCE. STUDENTS MUST RESPECT ALL PARTIES IN THE SCHOOL TO NOT ARGUE. CONTINUOUS ARGUING OR DISRESPECT MAY RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE SCHOOL
