Mr. Seely believes whole-heartedly in the power of education. "Learning is what life is all about, and the more you learn, the higher quality life you lead." He attributes the success of John V. Evans Elementary School to outstanding teachers and staff, and great students. He is excited to build on the current successes of JVE to achieve grander goals for student achievement and enrichment. His goal is to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment where students will reach their potential and realize the thrill and fulfillment of learning.
Mr. Seely has been an Idaho educator for 24 years. He taught 7th and 8th grade Math and History at Burley Jr. High School from 1997 - 2003. He served as Assistant Principal of White Pine Intermediate School from 2003 - 2007, and head principal of the same school from 2007 - 2019. He has held his current role as John V. Evans Principal since 2019. Mr. Seely completed his undergraduate work in History and Mathematics Education at Brigham Young University. He also holds a Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho. Amid both academic degrees, he says his most powerful learning experiences have come from interacting with dedicated teachers and students over the past 24 years.
