The deadline to turn in your child's Roaring Readers reading log has been extended to this Thursday, March 30. You can have your child turn it in to the office, or drop it off at the PTO table during parent/teacher conferences on Thursday evening. ***Participation in this incentive program is not required.

Our yearbooks are on sale now! Order forms are in the office. Yearbooks are $15 each. You can pay with cash or write a check payable to Mountain View Elementary. Yearbooks will be delivered to students on the last day of school.

Dear Parents, As part of our efforts to keep students and staff safe and to be prepared for every possibility, we will be conducting a lockdown drill tomorrow - Tuesday, February 28. There will be a police presence at the school, but the drill should not take very long. We are grateful to be able to work with each of your students. There will be no school on Monday, February 20 due to the Presidents Day holiday. We will have a full day of school on Friday, February 24.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT SURVEY Below is a link to our annual Parent Engagement Survey that we are asking all parents of students within Cassia County School District to fill out online. This survey is sent out and required by the Idaho State Department of Education each year to all districts in the state of Idaho. Survey results are intended to help us gain feedback and insights about each of our schools. When filling out the survey, please select the school that your child attends from the drop-down menu instead of selecting Cassia County School District itself. If you have students in multiple schools, we ask that you please complete the survey once for each of the schools your children attend. The Idaho Food Bank Mobile Pantry will be at Minico High School, 292 W 100 S, on February 25th from noon to 2:00pm. The Mobile Pantry Program distributes dry and frozen food to underserved, usually rural, communities. This program helps populations that do not have access to, or have difficulty accessing, food assistance.

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow, January 3rd. As a reminder, we do have a regular school day on Friday, January 6th.

We have one more week of school before Christmas Break! Here are a few reminders about our break: Thursday (December 22) will be a 12:30 release day. Because of the early release there will be no kindergarten or pre-school that day. We will return to school on Tuesday, January 3. We will have a full day of school on Friday, January 6. To have a little bit of fun this week, we are having dress-up days: Monday: Wear your favorite holiday hat, headband, elf ears, etc. Tuesday: Wear Christmas colors - red, green and white. Wednesday: Wear your holiday scarves and socks. Thursday: Wear your pajamas.
