We are having our first Parent Advisory Committee meeting on Monday, September 18 at 4:00 in the library. We will be reviewing the Strategic Plan for the school. All parents are invited. Come and be part of what's happening at Mountain View Elementary!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12, is Pizza Hut Day! If you order from Pizza Hut and use the Fundraiser Code PT, Mountain View will receive a percentage of the proceeds. Thank you for your support!

In our effort to keep students and staff safe and to be prepared for every possibility, we will be conducting our first lockdown drill of the year tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30. The drill should not last very long. Local law enforcement will be participating with us during the drill. We are grateful to be able to work with each of your students. Thank you for your support of our school.

Back to School Night is this Thursday, August 17 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Come meet your teacher and drop off your school supplies.
We will have someone here from the bus garage. Many of the bus numbers for our school have changed, so please check and make sure you have the right number for your student.
We will also have forms here to apply for free and reduced lunch. Please fill one out for your family.

Field Day is onTuesday, May 23. 9:00-11:00 - AM PK, AM Kinder, 1st, 4th, and 5th Grades 11:20-12:20 - 6th Grade 12:30-2:30 - PM PK, PM Kinder, All Day Kinder, 2nd and 3rd Grades Don't forget to bring money for the PTO concession stand (hot dogs, drinks, nachos, cotton candy, etc.) Please apply sunscreen before sending your child to school. Students are allowed to wear hats while they are participating in Field Day.

The deadline to turn in your child's Roaring Readers reading log has been extended to this Thursday, March 30. You can have your child turn it in to the office, or drop it off at the PTO table during parent/teacher conferences on Thursday evening.

There will be no school on Monday, February 20 due to the Presidents Day holiday. We will have a full day of school on Friday, February 24.
