Burley High School BPA Competes at State Competition, Looks for Sponsors for Nationals
The Burley High School Business Professionals of America Chapter attended the State Competition in late February where thirteen students placed in the top eight or above in fourteen events. Eight students qualified to attend and compete at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Anaheim on April 26-30. Results are listed below. BPA chapter advisors are Janet Cole, Tammy Cooper, and Cherise Gentry.
Cooper Equipment is sponsoring BHS students to help pay travel expenses. Students are also seeking other companies and individuals who are interested in making tax deductible contributions that will help these students continue to achieve their goals. Sponsors will be recognized on promotional t-shirts, banners, and website pages.
Five students qualified for NLC by taking first place at the state competition:

- Linux Operating Systems: Glen Shaw
Three students qualified for NLC by taking third place at the state competition:
- Ethics & Professionalism: Jennika Hepworth
- Medical Terminology Concepts - Open: Colton Treasure
- Digital Media Production: Eli Tribe
One student qualified for NLC by taking fourth place at the state competition:
- Fundamentals of Web Design: Keileigh Tolman
Eight more students earned medals by placing in the top eight in six events:
- 5th Place - Digital Media Production: Ivan Victoria
- 6th Place - Administrative Support Team: Kaden Gammon, Ana Alvarez, Kate Jones
- 6th Place - Fundamentals of Web Design: Logan Hepworth
- 7th Place - Human Resource Management: Jennika Hepworth
- 8th Place - Economic Research Research: Charmaine Lowe
- 8th Place - Graphic Design Promotion: Jasmin Torres
