Welcome!

I teach 7th and 8th Grade Reading here at Burley Jr. High. I am also the Reading coach. I received my undergraduate degree from ISU and my Master's Degree in Literacy K-12 from Lesley University. I have worked with learners from preschool to adult and love teaching!

I was born and raised right here in the Mini-Cassia area and my husband and I raised our children here in Burley. What a great place to live and learn.  

My Reading classes are intended to provide strategies and skills to get students reading solidly on grade level. We do most of our work in class, so don't panic if you student does not have homework. I encourage my students to read at home as much as possible, but this is not presented as homework. 

Burley Junior High is a great place to work and learn. Interacting with junior high students is an awesome part of my job! Please feel free to contact me at any time.
